Yes, that's right. Obama is trying to help Trump win the nomination.

Obama knows that ANYTHING he advocates will be opposed by the Right.

Therefore, if he claims that Trump isn't worthy of the office of the POTUS and that he will not win, then OBVIOUSLY he knows that will only rally support for Trump by the opposition.

It's manipulation 101: "I can talk about my family, but you can't talk about my family! I'll show you Mr. Obama" Thereby, playing right into Obama's hand, or in this case, Trump's hand, Hillary's hand, the Dems hand...

Trump is in the thing for one reason and one reason only...to destroy the Republican Party...(as if they need any help).

Now, why would Obama want to "help" Trump? Because he knows that Trump will be destroyed by the media in the general e******n. The media is biting their collective tongues and not laying a glove on Trump right now in hopes that he wins the nomination. If he does, they will unleash hell on him...and all they have to do is play video after video of him extolling the greatness of liberalism.

That's the real reason Trump backed out of the Fox debate a few weeks ago. Fox ran video montages (unprecedented in a debate) of Rubio and Cruz on immigration. Had Trump showed up, they would've ran a montage of him espousing his liberal views and stances on everything. Trump knew it was going to happen and knew it would hurt him, possibly completely derailing his chances of the nomination.

No doubt, Fox either told all of the candidates that video would be shown of them, or they certainly tipped off Trump as a favor. Fox supports the establishment GOP. Trump is being supported by the establishment GOP. Trump has bought many of the establishment in both parties, so they owe him.

TRUMPETEERS...you better wake up and sniff what I'm stepping in...Trump is a troll. He has NO intention of being POTUS and every intention of handing the e******n to Hillary if he gets the nomination...of which he will not.

CRUZ will win the nomination.

It is unlikely Cruz will be able to be elected to another term in the senate much less get the nomination.

Some say that "Trump is morphing into Michael Moore with the 911/Iraq stand," Olden; and I always pay close attention to who the secular liberal progressives "spin" the most before e******ns. With "THE DONALD," it's a little hard to know "Who's on first." The "progressive" strategies always seem to go against conventional, alternative AND conservative American ideologies, and to decipher "What's on second," and "I [sure] don't know who's on third." God works in mysterious ways.

I hope you are right. I'm for Cruz and no matter what Trump and Rubio say about him, Cruz is the most honest and smartest. He knows and follows the Constitution. Trump will be another dictator and Rubio is for open boarders or so he says on Spanish radio in Spanish. Cruz called him out on that. Usually the ones calling others liars are usually the liars themselves.

While I think Trump is better than a Democrat, he's clearly not my favorite.

The types of things that bother me are things like the blatant pandering...

1. When Cruz came out against ethanol subsidies in Iowa (an amazingly conservative thing to do) he was getting hammered. And as Cruz was getting hammered, Trump announced that he would double the ethanol in gasoline. Both pandering and dishonest.

2. When did Trump put Michael Moore in charge of his policy statements? "Bush lied people died" Really? That's not only the Democrat talking point, but everyone knows it's a bald faced lie.

3. The new attacks on Cruz's eligibility? Trump can't possibly be stupid enough to believe this. In fact, he's already personally debunked it before he personally re-bunked it.

Trump has a pattern of being easily provoked into a tantrum of bizarre statements. His narcissism is only equaled by Obama's. And i don't say that lightly. His rants about the the Iowa results being stolen from him are just silly, petty, and childish. There is no way that if Ben Carson had gotten zero v**es that it would have put Cruz over the top. Trump is just being a sore loser and a big baby.

I appreciate and respect your point of view. I've never seen you post anything h**eful, disrespectful, or dishonest. Agree with you or not, you are surely one of my favorite posters.

But I would suggest that if you're tired of lies, you might want to look to someone other than Trump.

I don't think Cruz is a perfect man. But he's a consistent conservative and he's done what he said he would do since he's been elected.

First, Dave, Thank you for the very kind words..A gracious compliment that humbles me and is most appreciated..I don't think we need to stoop to name calling or personal attacks..Everyone has their opinion and even though we may not agree, I always learn something new in that discussion from them..Why I come after all.....

I can tell you two things, yes, I do agree with most of what you say about Trump and do know he's self centered as well..Narcissists to a certain point, but clearly exhibits an ability to change, be open to new ideas and to listen to others about it...Completely different from BO in that area as far as I am concerned..

Most totally agree with you about Cruz..At one point I was hopeful they would pull a ticket together, and I too, like Cruz very much..I have not ruled him out at all...Cruz is more "the savvy politician having had time to learn how to play in the ropes of it all and if Trump is given an opportunity, he too, will have to tone it down..

What stands out for me most is the need for this country to get back on track job wise and like I said before I see Trump as the one that will push that agenda and running with those that already do dictate what goes on in this country, can not hurt...Return a thriving economy and a lot of the BS going on will significantly reduce itself..Hand out programs to keep people going for one thing not to mention putting people back to work so they can spend into this economy and bring it solid again..

Second~~~Return some respect of World leaders that presently view us as weak and unwilling..Return an allegiance of allies who presently do not know what to think about the US anymore...

Trash Obamacare, Start over with another program that actually works..A flat tax program would be nice...Downsizing government etc..Yes, we need change Dave and Trump or Cruz will at least be on the same page in that regard..

Trump will loose on the Cruz eligibility and he knows it too..He did say Cruz is a citizens and eligible in the past and this one truly does bother me..A cheap shot, just for playing the political BS game and I don't like it~~But I do like Trumps bull dog approach as I said earlier and will give him a little birth here and there to get on page with those things he knows to be wrong..He's also taking some pretty good hits from everyone including the RINOS, the Ds and the media..He's got o bring it all front and center.Leading contenders usually do......Not excuses here, Dave, just the realty of fighting the game with his own passion, just as we argue merits of topics here, with passion..

People that oppose Trump, at this juncture, are not liberals.

Trump IS a liberal you moron.

I tend to migrate towards candidates that defend the constitution. Ted Cruz is the ONLY candidate left that defends and upholds the constitution.

I've done my vetting of all left, He or Cruz is all I have serious consideration for now..
