My funny Valentine

I am a little late here with this one but this version of "My Funny Valentine" is the best I have ever heard. Alice Fredenham does even better than the torch singers of the 40s and 50s she is emulating. Simon told her it was like liquid gold and that she could sing the phone book. I have heard everything she did and have never found one that wasn't a good torch singer's song.

Here Alice is singing ''Cry Me A River" and it is one of my favorites. Simon changed his opinion about her voice being liquid gold after this one to liquid platinum.

Having viewed her previously, I still get chills up and down my spine when seeing and hearing this very talented young lady. But, she doesn't seem to realize how talented she really is.

Here Alice is being interviewed where she tells why she is singing those old torch songs. She shows that she had picked up some of the old 40s and 50s sounds for the end of the song.

She didn't know on the first song but had been convinced by judges by the next two songs.

I have to listen to her pretty often because nobody has ever seemed better at torch singing than she was.

I love her voice and her style, and could listen to her, 24/7. Like you, OldRoy, I love torch songs. PoppaGringo likely remembers the C.D. of torch songs I brought on my trip to San Diego and we listened to on our drive around town. 8-)

There are certain parts of all those songs where she hesitates and then comes a much higher note with all the volume those people are capable of.

I am wondering if she is still single from hearing in one of those interviews that she didn't say her name was Fredenham.

That girl being only about 30 makes her anything but a good catch for an old bastard like me. Think of the physical misery it would cause for her.

While she is too young for me to marry, I wonder if she would entertain thoughts of my adopting her.  :XD:
