Going the e-mail rounds.

Everyone over 50 should view this. This video has educational information from TED and it’s very easy to understand.

Too bad our physicians cannot explain it like this -- excellent .

My doctor is not very old, about 42 or so, but she has been taken in by all those things. I took one pill for blood pressure for over 20 years and got along fine, but she didn't like me having 50 or less as my heart rate so started stacking them up on me. Now I take half an atenolol each day and two others each day to overcome the lowered rate of atenolol and work on my pressure. She has me at about 140/over 75 and seems to be satisfied and my heart doctor doesn't seem to see anything wrong with that.

I tried to tell my young lady that I think there is a chance that I exercise too much to have my heart rate very much above 55. I once read that distance runners would be more like 35 at rest and think maybe I am in too good shape.

Doctors do seem to be funny and want to keep the people calling them pill pushers.

Very informative El...Thank You for this information..I do not use salt at all...There is enough in the things that we buy..Its also why I do not buy Processed anything..Loaded with salt...

If I do use salt potatoes, usually, I use Sea Salt....Also take 81 mg. baby aspirin just to be sure no problems...Heart issues run in my family so I must take care...Also why I enjoyed your article information...

I thought that it was quite informative. Processed foods leave a lot to be desired. Too many chemicals. :hunf:

I'm watching the news...pick any one you like...Fox, CNN, ABC, wh**ever...

The commercials are predominately this or that new medication...this or that insurance...this or that class action lawsuit...

I paid $120 cash a few days ago for three months worth of prescriptions that the pharmacy would have charged my insurance company (if I had insurance at the moment) over $1000 for...

I'm thinking, as I pay cash a tenth of what my insurance would have been charged for my prescriptions, WTF is really going on here?!

Fraud~~period, that is what is going on..Right along with the blessing of regulatory agencies that supposedly govern, to the Doctors for the percentage kick back they get in writing "certain scripts"and the manufacturers that do invest developing drugs, and then profit 10 fold on them when approved...Lets not forget the FDA too...I mean they sure need their payments too...

Surely you jest, my friend.....Not a one that I am aware of.....Upset the apple cart and actually concentrate in over charges of hospitals, in RX's and in supposed visits and or putting us through tests we do not need?? Are you crazy???

It's easier to make us pay higher premiums for less coverage and higher deductibles..For that fact to force us to have insurance itself..
