Sin
Today we consider ourselves sinners without knowing what is and is not a sin. We let one verse Charlie’s use one verse to convict us of something we didn’t do. The bible is written in the order it is for a specific reason. Every miracle Christ performed was to teach a lesson. You will never learn the lesson learning to modify your behavior using Pauline epistles and worshiping. You should study the whole bible yourself because scriptures are being manipulated into saying something God didn’t mean. Sin is a choice to do wrong. It is a mindset that holds your own personal interest as the highest priority. To a sinful mind feelings are put above ethics. This will be a series of lessons taken from the Old and New Testaments. To understand what is a sin or a transgression of the law let’s examine the law. Four of the commandments are between you and God and are really no one else’s business, so we’ll look at the last six in Deuteronomy 5:16 through 21.
· Honor your father and mother – It is not God’s will for a child to sleep in a bed they didn’t buy, feel cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter, eat the food that is brought and prepared for them, enjoy the privileges of being cared for but consider obeying your parents an option. When your kids do this, it is time for them to start providing for themselves.
· You shall not murder – Taking a life you didn’t give should never be an option; even if you did sire them. Death should never be a solution to life.
· You shall not commit adultery – God came to this dimension and wrote with His own finger in stone for His children not to do this. How many people think it is okay doesn’t make it right. If anyone speaks positively about something God said not to do, you would be foolish to pursue a relationship with that person.
· You shall not steal – Stealing is taking something that you haven’t paid for and doesn’t belong to you. If it is not yours, leave it alone. You should get your own.
· You should not bear false witness against your neighbor – Who is your neighbor is covered in Luke 10:25 through 37. You should not testify falsely against someone who was kind to you when you could do nothing for them. God hates liars.
· You shall not desire your neighbor’s wife; and you shall no desire your neighbor’s house, his field, his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey or anything that is your neighbors’. – This kicks up a notch the desire to have that which is not yours but belongs to someone else. Not only should you not steal. You should not even desire what is not yours. What do you think of a person who gets invited to a friend’s house and rewards the guy by sleeping with his wife?
When your mind tries to justify committing any of these acts that is satan appealing to your emotions. When you break one of these commandments and it blows up in your face, that is God appealing to your intellect.
