I have been reading many topics and comments for a while. It has been a learning experience. The personalities are interesting. I have determined AuntiE isn't really human, but a thesaurus. If she ever explodes, I do not want to be nearby. Banjojack has enough titles to hold a parade and have lots of participants all by himself. BigMike strikes gold very subtlety. BoJester calls Debbie Wasserman-Schultz every day to get his marching orders and complies without a single individual thought entering the space between his ears. Raylan, repeat the description for BoJester. Rumitoid believes he is a representative from the UN and does not understand the UN has a failing reputation, though he has moments of great thought. Slatten49 belongs in our State Department. He is certainly smarter and more able at diplomacy than Hilary ever was or Kerry currently is. StraightUp is an odd mix. The many seniors and veterans bring a historical perspective.

Onto me. I'm direct and have a big problem with antigun, antiBible i***ts. I'm getting s**k of paying for government boondoggle studies. I don't care why many lesbians are obese. I don't care about bug mating habits. I don't want to pay for someone's recreational sex; pay for it yourself. I want my States rights returned...now.

You said what about me, a "thesaurus"? There are probably worse things to be called. I will be watching.

It was suggested, by a lady of great stature, that I read this "entry" post, Lily.

First, welcome to the OPP, and brace yourself for what is, sometimes, a bumpy ride. The fact that you have already familiarized yourself with some of us gives you a great perspective to enter our world.

You flatter me, my lady, with your brief description, and I thank you. However, it is merely an attempt on my part to, as often as possible, stay "above the fray", and remain objective. If I appear to have done so, for the most part, then I have achieved my goal.

It is, often....difficult.

P.S. I am impressed with your seeing through BigMikes' rough exterior. I also see many of his posts as "golden".

It is not a "rough exterior". He is honest. Living where he does can't be easy. He is honest.

You are right, Lily. He has led a rough life though, in his own words, and has come out of it for the better!

He is, as I once described someone else, a "steel-plated marshmellow"....and a honest, insightful one at that!

She called me a thesaurus. Not a big insult; however, I do not feel inanimate. I do own inanimate scary objects as provided by the Second Amendment. I quite like her avatar.

More to the point, even with his mistakes, he learned and raised his daughter on his own. Any person who takes on raising children, be that person female or male, is due respect. :!: :!: :!:
