The purpose and function of the Supreme Court is NOT to decide where the country should go. It is ENTIRELY to make sure that the constitution is upheld as it is written. It is not to reinterpret the constitution to follow that political spin come from the politicians. The Supreme court is there to keep the breaks on as the political maneuverings swing in the breeze.

Of course the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness doe not mean that you have a right to my personal property (and what is more personal property than my body itself?) A dictator would think like that, not a Constitutionalist.

It did, that's the basis of the very correct Roe V Wade decision, acknowledging women's right to control over their bodies and persons.
