A grand celebration

no propaganda please Loc: moon orbiting the third rock from the sun

A few weeks ago SWMBO and I went to a wedding. One of the young men we worked with 15 years ago got married and we were so proud to be invited to the wedding. It was an amazing service, nothing sedate but one filled with joy, loud singing and clapping with the entire congregation coming together to make a joyful noise unto the
Lord in celebration of the love of two wonderful people joined together in love, because of many caring people whose love reflected the Glory and Greatness of God's love to all mankind. Both this young man and his beautiful bride had stories of childhoods that would make your heart cry, but they and the entire church were filled with such joy and radiance that all pain could be forgotten within god's healing embrace. The songs and clapping and the dancing in the aisles was an all night affair, to which we were honored to be invited and felt welcomed by the entire congregation. Peace and joy from the love in that group--oh why can't it always be that way? why do some many things have to separate us, unimportant things, things that divide our humanity rather than make us whole and one with God?
Did I mention we were the only white people in the church, and it mattered to no one at all?

It sounds like you were celebrating with sister and brothers and I don't mean black sister and brothers, but Christian s & b's. That makes a difference. It gives both sides a sort of security blanket. I think we all have to make a conscious effort to be friendly and kind when we are out in public. We've got to fight to get back to the point that we were at before Obama set us back! I sincerely believe there are many of us, both colors that do not see color! Maybe it is just our area, a smaller city in Texas, that makes a difference. Whatever the reason, we are the ones that have to fix it. It will not fix itself. God is the fixer if we will just follow his direction. And that's my simple opinion! GOD bless and keep that young couple❤️❤️

This young man is very special to us. We work with boys who have been physically and/or sexually abused, helping them recover from abuse and become survivors no longer victims.
When we can help them heal they become "our boys" and part of our family for ever.

There will be a special reward for you and your wife for helping these youngsters. And I imagine it takes a very special patience for them. I'm sure you both are very loved by many!!!!!!

Because of the constant claim that Christian conservatives are all racists and that we wish all of those who are not white were our slaves.
