An Invitation to Celebrate

no propaganda please Loc: moon orbiting the third rock from the sun

A few weeks ago SWMBO and I went to a wedding. One of the young men we worked with 15 years ago got married and we were so proud to be invited to the wedding. It was an amazing service, nothing sedate but one filled with joy, loud singing and clapping with the entire congregation coming together to make a joyful noise unto the
Lord in celebration of the love of two wonderful people joined together in love, because of many caring people whose love reflected the Glory and Greatness of God's love to all mankind. Both this young man and his beautiful bride had stories of childhoods that would make your heart cry, but they and the entire church were filled with such joy and radiance that all pain could be forgotten within god's healing embrace. The songs and clapping and the dancing in the aisles was an all night affair, to which we were honored to be invited and felt welcomed by the entire congregation. Peace and joy from the love in that group--oh why can't it always be that way? why do some many things have to separate us, unimportant things, things that divide our humanity rather than make us whole and one with God?
Did I mention we were the only white people in the church, and it mattered to no one at all?

When one of "our boys" gets married it is a reason for celebration, for many it is a long and hard struggle to come to the point when they believe they are worthy of a good woman's love.
