Painful blow for Clinton

New Hampshire also delivered a painful personal blow to Hillary Clinton, who squeezed out the narrowest of victories in Iowa last week. The scale of her defeat — by more than 20 points — is likely to fuel signs of growing internal rancor in her campaign and complaints by Democrats that her message as a progressive who gets results is no match for Sanders' heady demands for a political revolution, which has inspired younger Democratic v**ers.

The loss was especially rough because New Hampshire has long been kind to the Clintons. It's the state that made Bill Clinton the "comeback kid" in 1992. And Hillary Clinton beat Barack Obama there in 2008, salvaging her campaign after a third place showing in Iowa.

A hoarse but jubilant Sanders proclaimed his victory to be the result of a "huuuuge" turnout. His emphatic performance will now propel him into a nationwide battle against Clinton as he attempts to shatter the firewall among ethnically diverse v**ers that she has built in South Carolina and other southern states.

"Tonight we have sent a message that will echo from Wall Street to Washington from Maine to California," he said, before predicting that the race against Clinton was going to quickly get even more contentious.

"They are throwing everything at me except the kitchen sink and I have the feeling that the kitchen sink is coming pretty soon as well," he said.

Clinton appeared in her concession speech to be trying to co-opt Sanders' message about an economy stacked against the middle class.

"Now we take this campaign to the entire country. We are going to fight for every v**e in every state," she said, foreshadowing a long fight for the nomination that she was once expected to win easily.

Sanders led Clinton 60% to 39%. His gaping margin of victory dwarfed the few tenths of one percent by which the former secretary of state prevailed in the Iowa caucuses last week.

I wouldn't call it victory with Sanders either....V****g for a Socialist sure didn't seem to bother the :Independents of New Hampshire...

The clear message in exiting poll reviews was the anger with "politics as it is" and disgust of the people that want action and no more BS....That part I do agree with...

"Hillary came in second" !! (Who said this ? Maddcow???)

The Dems see a something here that 'they' didn't want to see...
Hillary in the process of being 'de-throned' before the c****ation ...that automatic
c****ation..that was promised to her and that she expected.
Oh, Boo Hoo.

Talk of a 'possible' Biden ? OMG !!
Then talk of Bloomberg ????
Do I sense 'desperate Democrats' ??
Could it be possible that the...Queen... will not step on the throne ??

Now on to South Carolina~

Real Clear Average has:

Trump at 36%

Cruz at 19.7%

Rubio at 12%

Lets see if these number change after the New Hampshire shellacking....
Wouldn't be too surprised to see the same spread on the Rep side when it's all said and done in SC, other than maybe a tightening between Cruz and Rubio, but I wonder about the Dem side........

Southerners in general are not Progressives.......Lib's to some degree, but not typically Prog's and certainly rare to see a dyed in the wool Socialist, What's a southern Dem to do ???

Interesting......and SC politics can get REAL mean...

LOL......can't say I'm surprised Bernie kicked Billary's a**.....a little surprised, women were a goodly sized part of the reason......... from Christine Rousselle.....

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2016/02/09/hillary-clinton-loses-women-in-new-hampshire-n2117232

opening paragraph......

"Despite being told by aging feminists and a former secretary of state that a v**e for Bernie Sanders was betraying their g****r and risking eternal damnation, women in New Hampshire were feeling the Bern on Tuesday night. Sanders won the female v**e by seven points, and won men by 31."

Billy comin' out to talk sexism apparently didn't work........ Laughing

On the R side, surprised Rubio fared so poorly, the big mo obviously wasn't real, but not surprised Trump did well.......I figured those two would be the battle for first and second with maybe Kasich third......I wonder if his second place was because he hadn't said Jesus would want Obamacare recently........ clown lolololol...

Cruz, a third or fourth doesn't surprise me......Bush bein' so close does.....of course, this means he ain't droppin' out as soon as I think most of us would like.....that havin' his Mom stumpin' for him in the snow was pathetic, but apparently didn't hurt him......hell, may have helped.......she's certainly more likable......Christie, I'm not surprised by his placing but by his reaction......another from Christine.........

"The Democraps are an embarrassment." It's getting to look more and more like Bloomberg is going to run, saying he'll use $1 billion of his own money to do it.

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2016/02/09/chris-christie-taking-a-breath-think-over-campaign-n2117270

opening.....

"New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) will be heading back to New Jersey to 'take a deep breath' and figure out the state of his campaign after his sixth-place finish in the New Hampshire primary."

that's probably the death knell for him.......as has been said, SC is an important testing ground and it's next.......

overall, I'd say this did more damage to Rubio than anyone.....the establishment may regret having started lining up behind him (they had a Rubio love fest Monday at the Gold Dome in Atl.......it was pathetic and funny Laughing )............and Kasich is a hiccup, so to speak........his second place will only prolong the death of his campaign...

He won for two main reasons. One, people just do not like Hillary personally. Two, many, especially young v**ers like the idea of a future ahead filled with free stuff that requires no real sacrifice on their part.
