Your comment is so very correct. So........why DO you v**e against your own self interest, i.e., socialism? Socialism is in NO ONE's self interest UNLESS you are one of the PTB in the Party.
All true conservatives always v**e for individual liberties, and it amazes me that so many people care not one whit for their liberties, and v**e against them, v**e socialist, probably because they don't know a freedom from a saltine c*****r.

As Winston Churchill said, If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain. I agree with that. Most people at 20 are not matured and experienced and want all the good fairy tale things to happen. The intelligent ones change from liberal to conservative when they mature and see how the world really works........it is called gaining wisdom. Those who do NOT mature remain liberal, known today as socialists, progressives, c*******ts, collectivists all.
