Chapter 3

Everything in the word of God doesn’t concern itself with telling you how to behave to get something. In fact nothing we have covered concerns anything but Jesus. I think the reason we don’t study God’s word chapter by chapter and verse by verse is because satan is using churches to stress praise and worship over understanding. The bible says one day this nonsense will be exposed for its shortcomings. It already doesn’t make any sense.
Verse 1 through 3

Those days may be 30 years later. The words spoken by Isaiah are in Isa 40:3. The 40th chapter of Isaiah is one of my favorite. If you study scripture you can get good sermons just reading certain parts of the bible.

Verse 4
Hollywood shows John the Baptist as a caveman wearing a camel skin jacket with the hoof still attached, but the text says camel hair. A camel hair coat retails for about $400 but who pays retail? I like to look at the last part of the verse this way, we are in the days of the end-time locust army but a person learned in scripture will eat them for breakfast.

Verse 5

If God’s word is being taught in truth and sincerity people come from miles around to hear it.

Verse 6

They didn’t just listen; when John stopped speaking they tried to apply the word to their lives.

Verse 7

Members of the Sanhedrin were looked upon as religious leaders. They were the “saved” of that day. Most of the Sanhedrin didn’t recognize the deity of Christ. If Jesus wasn’t recognized when He was alive on this planet, and a disciple is not above his Lord, then if you really read the word of God and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart you won’t be recognized either.

Verse 8

Even though he starts with a message of condemnation John gives them a remedy to fix the situation.

Verse 9

Oftentimes people put faith in their lineage or bloodline. Just because they were born earlier doesn’t mean they are more intelligent than you. It takes about twenty years for a child to become an adult physically. It will take the rest of your life to learn to make better decisions. What is impossible for man is possible with God. What man finds acceptable God finds an abomination.

Verse 10

This was said 2,000 years ago. The time is drawing near for this to be carried out. The emotional bullying and browbeating will give way to the logic in God’s word.

Verse 11

Water is cooling. Fire burns. This baptism by fire is not a pleasant process, but when you have been through it, you know beyond a shadow of a doubt what it is.

Verse 12

You can do whatever the spirit leads you to do; you cannot convince a deceived mind. If God has sent them strong delusion or they are deceived by satan there is little you can do.

Verse 13 and 14

John thought Jesus should be baptizing him.

Verse 15 through 17

Six times in Three gospel’s God says Jesus is His son. In John Jesus calls God His Father and God answers Him audibly. What amazes me is that satan still has some people deceived that Jesus is not the son of God. Whoever believes this could have never studied the King James Bible. They must put the words of some man (who will die) above God (who will never die).
