Does the oath of office have any meaning?

I like to believe the Oath Of Office does have meaning, but when someone is elected as a senator or congressman, they are told from the beginning what to do or you won't be around long. They soon get caught up in all the corruption.I like to see term limits and ethic classes. I doubt it would ever happen.

something has to change... in all my years.. i have never seen such division.... americans against americans... everyone labeled.
violence is everywhere.... the whole world is on fire....
economy....! Our children in schools are given " new books " to be educated from..! christian way of living is abolished everywhere.
the children do not even know who is president..?? how to spell. or mostly how TO SPEAK CORRECT ENGLISH... AND I AM TALKING ABOUT CHILDREN THAT ARE BORN HERE... STILL DO NOT AND HAVE NOT BEEN EDUCATED.
