Maybe not new, maybe no need to remind ourselves, but I thought this was a little humorous. I especially like #1 and #2.

Guess at 72 I am not yet old. Still get up at 4:30, and go to bed by ten. Usually the best time to get me on the phone is between 6 and 8 AM, which I tell my young friends, but they say they are not up and functioning that early.

It's like I say; I'm not trying to tell God how to do His job, but I would have appreciated my youth one hell of a lot more if I'd had to be old FIRST.

Even though there are definitely perks to my grey hair and white beard, I think we can all agree with your statement, Loki.

I think I may have posted this quote at one point or another, but it bears repeating:

"When I was young I dreamed of being older. This s**t is not what I expected."

Yep!
When I left home to go in the service, my Dad was the dumbest man I knew.
When I returned a year later I couldn't get over how much he had learned in
Just a year. I sure miss him. Too soon old and too late smart I guess.
