Welcome Carol C. Glad you are here. I like slattens comment. I would like to remain optimistic. These last 7 years have been hell and yes, very scary. I have a special place in my heart for Messianic Jews. Bless you sister. There are all types here. Extreme left to extreme right. I wish you well.

Welcome Carol. I too, am a Conservative Jew but am not spiritual. I have read about your carpenter but am not familiar with Him on a personal basis.

Welcome aboard I to am a conservative and a Christian. As for the country it has been through rough times before and survived. How we do between now and when Obama leaves office and who we elect will determine where we go in the future and I hope that it is for the betterment and bot the other direction which is where Hillary and Sanders would like to take us. You will meet all kinds on here so jump on and enjoy the ride.

Hello Carol. Welcome to OPP. I was born in a small town in NC, myself, although I have not lived there in a long time, and mostly grew up elswhere. I will warn you that a thick skin is something of a necessity around here at times. People on this forum feel strongly about issues, and tempers can flare. This is still preferable to disconnected, apathetic, ignorant v**ers who make up the majority of the e*****rate. Even the people on this forum with whom I disagree are [mostly] preferable to the American Idol bunch that shows up at the polls on e******n day with no idea which end is up. I would class myself as a conservative/libertarian. There are many others here who just classify me as a first rate SOB. You will doubtless discover which is which. Once more, bienvenidos.
