Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will parlay his Iowa caucus win into South Carolina, political analyst Dick Morris tells Newsmax TV.

"Cruz is very likely to win this whole thing," Morris said in post-caucus coverage Monday night. "He's going to go into New Hampshire with a great deal of momentum coming from Iowa, and [Donald] Trump has been proven fallible. He's been proven not immortal, and I think it's going to be a very tight three-way race in New Hampshire."

New Hampshire will be a toss-up between Cruz, real-estate mogul Trump and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Morris said.

"South Carolina, Cruz is going to win," he said. "The evangelical v**e, the conservative v**e will line up for him and he'll win South Carolina fairly handily."

At that point, Cruz will ride a wave to the SEC Primary on March 1 where he'll take his home state of Texas and capture all 152 delegates.

Cruz also will sweep Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Virginia on the same day, he said.

"Cruz will defeat Rubio, and [Jeb] Bush for what it's worth, in Florida and the game will be over, he said.

Pollster Matt Towery disagreed, saying Cruz won't hold onto the traction he got Monday.

"I think Trump still has the edge in New Hampshire," he said. "South Carolina and the SEC Primary are going to decide who is going to get to the big dance, and the big dance will be Florida."

There, Rubio may be able to gain former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's support and move on to the nomination.

"But if not, Donald Trump who has been leading in these Southern states and Florida, would go on to get the nomination," he said. "But I don't think that Cruz right now is still in it. He's got a long way to go because New Hampshire is going to be sort of cold water on him, I expect."

 It's going to get interesting! I think the elite will start rallying around Rubio now, with the poor showing Jeb had in Iowa. South Carolina will be the next big test, I think...lots of evangelicals and conservatives in SC.

I don't know...I like Rubio...mainly because he's more animated than Jeb...I guess a few primaries will tell the story.

Well, you can sluff him off if you want, but up to Romney he had been pretty accurate...but, then almost everyone was off on Romney. No long term pollster/analyst has a 100% record, but Morris has been more right than wrong over the years.

Thinking folks in the party realize Rubio is their only hope. A Rubio Haley ticket gives the party a shot in the general if Trump doesn't run third party.

Well, with Bloomberg lighting up the possibility of an independent run at the highest office...maybe that's what Trump will do...he doesn't need anyone's permission to that....

Can you imagine how pissed off the nutters would be with Clinton winning with 45% Trump and Bloomberg splitting 55%?

Ted Cruz is not eligible to be POTUS. He is not a natural born citizen. There are "citizens," and there are "natural born citizens." Our founders made this distinction for a very good reason; to keep imposters like Obama out of the Oval Office. A natural born citizen is a special kind of citizen in that he must have been born in this country to two citizen parents. It is a three-legged stool and Cruz' stool has only one leg.

There are three ways for a person to claim citizenship, what most of us think of first is called Jus soli, “the right of the soil,” which is the physical location of your place of birth. The second is what is called Jus sanguinis, “the right of blood,” which you inherit from your parents. The third is a combination of Jus soli and Jus sanguinis, and it is this combination that determines if one is a natural born citizen.

Do you really think a Harvard Law graduate, and law clerk for several judges, including Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist, would NOT know that he is ineligible, under the Constitution, to run for the presidency of the United States? And, if he knew that he was ineligible, with his law background and experience, and deep religious faith, why would he put his family through a brutal campaign cycle? It doesn't make sense.

Any lawsuit against him will be either thrown out, or ruled in his favor. It's easy for a billionaire bully to sue, or threaten to sue, anyone for anything they want, he has the bucks. It's dirty politics at it's worst folks...nothing more.
