Ted Kennedy: The Soviet Union’s Favorite Senator

Ten U.S. Senators and three representatives were the Soviet Union’s favorite members of Congress when the C*******t nation was our worst enemy, according to a previously classified Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report obtained by Judicial Watch.

The federal lawmakers had repeated contact with C*******t diplomats who “cultivated” relationships with them during the Cold War, the records show. JW obtained the information by using the Mandatory Declassification Review process and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The records are from an FBI operation that monitored Soviet officials and establishments in Washington, D.C. and determine that there is a “continuing interest by representatives of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) to maintain contacts with and cultivate members or staff personnel of the U.S. Congress.”

Contact between members of Congress, their staff and representatives of the Soviet Union are documented between 1964 and 1972. A compilation of the contacts from January 1, 1967 to July 28, 1970 reveals that C*******t diplomats had a total of 180 contacts with U.S. Senators, 94 with members of the House and 832 with their congressional staff. The records show 1967 to be the most active year with 77 C*******t interactions with U.S. Senators, 55 with representatives and 265 with staff employees.

Not surprisingly, Ted Kennedy one of the 10 senators that appears on the C*******t list. A few years ago JW sued the FBI for once-secret documents that reveal the late Massachusetts senator sought meetings with C*******ts and others with left-wing views during a tour of several Latin American countries. Kennedy also made arrangements to rent a brothel for an entire night, according to the records which say the veteran lawmaker insisted on interviewing “the angry young men” of each country and meeting with a c*******t in Bogota that had been mentioned in U.S. investigations of Soviet spy rings.

Besides being tight with C*******ts, Kennedy was also famous for driving his car into a pond in Chappaquiddick, east of Martha’s Vineyard after a night of partying. The senator escaped the accident unscathed while his mistress, 28-year-old Democratic campaign worker Mary Jo Kopechne, drowned in the car. Kennedy had an expired license and had been drinking at the party yet he only got a slap on the hand, a two-month suspended jail sentence. The tragedy at Chappaquiddick became known as the most brilliant cover-up ever achieved in a nation where investigative procedures are well developed. Two decades after the horrific event more light was shed on the cover-up when the foreman of the grand jury that investigated the accident confessed that the panel was pressured by a judge and a prosecutor not to pursue the case. The foreman said the jury was manipulated and blocked from doing its job.

Here are the others that appear on the FBI list of C*******t favorites during the Cold War: South Dakota Senator George McGovern, Minnesota Senator Walter Mondale, Minnesota Senator Eugene McCarthy, Maine Senator Edmund Muskie, Oregon Senator Mark Hatfield, Montana Senator Mike Mansfield, Arkansas Senator J.W. Fullbright, Louisiana Senator Allen Ellender and Massachusetts Senator Edward Brooke. House members include James Fulton of Pennsylvania, Robert Leggett of California and Donald Riegle of Michigan.

I only take issue with the above part. I've read a lot about Chappaquiddick & even visited there. Knowing her as they did, many people felt that Mary Jo Kopechne was not his mistress but they did leave the party together & she may have been under the impression that they were going to go back to Edgartown via the ferry. Cut her that slack.

Speculation was rife that she was pregnant, validly, but her body was hustled out of the state before she could be autopsied which would have laid to rest the rumors. The Kennedy forces had gone into high gear to do it.

Later when DA Edmund Dinis made noises, months later, to get her exhumed, Kennedy 'spiritual advisor,' Cardinal Richard Cushing flew to Pennsylvania to 'visit' the Kopechne parents. Mary Jo was their only child.

Later, during the Watergate furor, Teddy agonized do we have one set of rules for the high & mighty and one for everyone else. He should have known for Chappaquiddick was one of the best coverups in the history of Massachussetts law enforcement and to think that alcoholic bum was reelected time & again.

Sen. Barry Golwater then said that we can, in the meantime, do without statements such that from 'the junior Senator from Massachussetts' inasmuch as all the facts of Chappaquiddick weren't known. Kennedy's office then sent him a transcript of the grand jury testimony.

As far as the rest of his behavior, Kennedy was an alcoholic, predatory sexual slob. A waitress once went into a room of The Longchamps restaurant in Washington, D.C. to find Chris Dodd passed out drunk on a chair and Kennedy mounting a woman on the table.

And no journalist has ever done an expose′ of the sources of the Kennedy family fortune. Many are familiar with the Scotch concession; I heard that it was one dollar for each bottle brought into the country after the end of Prohibition. But in any event, no matter the amount per bottle, it was enormous. Papa Joe Kennedy was Ambassador to The Court of St. James at the time and finagled the arrangement. He also had been a bootlegger during Prohibition with obvious gangland contacts.

But the really big original source was aggressive mortgage foreclosures. There were no equity laws at the time & the mortgagee could, and he did, foreclose on mortgages he held. Hundreds and likely thousands of Boston’s working class had their homes, which in many cases represented their lifetime savings, taken from them. No matter how much they’d put into the home, they lost all of it. They h**ed the Kennedys because of that & not one of the children, JFK RFK, Ted, etc. nor any of the grandchildren renounced the fortune.

My brother and father both worked in New York City’s construction trade as union electricians. Even in the Depression, New York had the most vibrant construction activity in the country. Many of Boston’s blue collar workers came to NYC to work. My brother & father both knew Boston workers who h**ed the Kennedys for what the old man had done to them.

After Robert was assassinated, I spoke to my brother about it. The oldest son Joseph, Jr., & then John had bth died well before their years. My brother asked me did you ever think that it might be fate’s cynical way of getting back at the old man for all the misery he caused? A karma before it became fashionable to call it karma.

Also, it is conceded by observers that Gloria Swanson’s son was his. A bastard son for a bastard.
