I did the happy dance in the store first, then handsprings in the parking lot after check out! I may have fractured my left wrist with the handsprings, but I'm right handed! Life is good!

Here's the recipe, if you want to try it.
HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 cans Carnation milk
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. vanilla
Beat eggs. Add sugar. Then add Carnation milk, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Fill freezer with mixture and 2% milk until freezer is 3/4 full.
If you cut the sugar down to one cup and add a small tub of cool whip and a small carton of heavy whipping cream it comes out much creamier. For five quart, I use five eggs also. Made it this way for years and no one ever complained - can't buy it this good!

You haven't been here on OPP very long, have you? We have virtual parties frequently where we fax beer, wine, and lots of food to celebrate birthdays and other times just for fun. Stay here a while and AuntiE might invite you.
Archie Did you ever get the cupcake frosting out of Norbert's gills?

We will have to vet our little ball of h**e for his imagination, and ability to handle complete silliness first. If he/she passes muster; I say we may have a new party buddy!!

It does take a certain kind of imagination to play with the idea of a goldfish and a toad talking, and three dogs pushing around AuntiE on her floating throne in a Huge pool. The play and the imagination behind it grows on you after a while, relaxes everyone so they don't get too uptight.

I copied this. Thanks!! I will compare it to Granny's banana nut recipe, and let you know the verdict. May be a while though, since we don't make much ice cream during the winter.
You also weren't paying attention to the greatist ice cream crisis Texas has ever had to deal with. :hunf:
We have our struggles here too ya know!!
I Enjoy Edys Brand Vanilla Bean
It's Made Locally
