Press Misleads Nation on I*****l I*********n

According to a new report from the Justice Department, i*****l i*******ts are being prosecuted at a much lower rate over the last five years. Recently released statistics show that criminal prosecution has fallen 36 percent from 2011 to 2015, partly because local and state authorities are shying away from detaining i*****l i*******ts on behalf of the feds.

In the meantime, The Washington Post analyzed a report this week from the Center for Migration Studies, which says that the number of i*****l i*******ts in the United States has fallen by more than a million individuals since 2008. In part, the CMS study says, because Mexican i******s have decreased in number by about 600,000 since President Obama took office. The report, coming as it does in the middle of an e******n cycle, is meant to portray this administration (and, by proxy, Democratic contender Hillary Clinton) as being tough on i*****l i*********n.

Of course, the Washington Post’s story neglected to mention that Obama presided over mass legalization of these immigrants. Nearly a million i******s who came here as children were given amnesty as a result of the president’s 2012 executive order. That number alone is almost enough to completely nullify any decline in the total i*****l i*******t population. That, of course, is if we have any reason to believe that the federal government has a good grasp on that population to begin with.

Of course, there’s more than an e******n coming up. The Supreme Court has announced that they will take up a case challenging the president’s 2014 executive orders. Arguments will begin in April regarding a lawsuit being filed by 26 states against the administration. The court is expected to hand down its final ruling in June, and Obama is undoubtedly eager to get the tide of public opinion on his side before that happens. In a perfect world, of course, public opinion would count for nothing in a case like this, but this court has already shown its propensity for following social trends.

Even if the court rules for Obama, he’s going to have a tough time carrying out the orders. How many i*****l i*******ts are going to put themselves into the spotlight this close to the end of his presidency? This is an executive order, mind you. If a Republican like Donald Trump comes into office next January, those orders will be torn up and thrown away. It will be deportation city, and i******s aren’t going to take the chance. This is another reason, of course, why it’s so important to make sure that a Democrat like Clinton does not follow Obama into office. We need to make a clean break from his disastrous policies, no matter how beautiful they look in the eyes of the mainstream press.

Well said. The press has so much invested in this mook that they have to back up any and everything that comes out of his lying mouth. As narcissistic people, ( show me a lib and I'll show you a narcissist), they couldn't bare the thought of having to admit they backed a buffoon and snake oil salesman. Even some libs know when they've stepped in it and that's why they're pissed at those of us who didn't buy this mooks lies. The more intelligent a lib tries to present him/herself the more t***sparent they become.

Have we ever been able to trust the press? Wasn't that the reason for labeling the press "mainstream" so they could be separated as distrustful? As for i*****l i*********n it would follow that i*****l i*********n would go down as jobs disappeared during a recession. And no one was made "legal" by Obamas executive orders, they just prevented the breaking up of families so the 'count' would remain the same no matter the orders given...
