I received a much-appreciated PM from BadBobby yesterday evening. I will reprint it in its entirety below, rather than trying to explain it myself. Anyone who wishes to advise BB on how to return on OPP...relay such on this thread. He will be following it. His PM was as follows:

"Hi, Slat. Thought I would tell you what happened. I was suspended for the 2nd time because the letter went from OP to spam. After 30 days, I reapplied and they sent me a letter saying they were reinstating me. It went to spam, now it's 30 more days. I give up. Tell everyone I said hi."

I am relieved to hear he is OK, outside of the frustration of being suspended for what appears to be nothing more than a glitch of some kind. If I were competent on such matters, I would have already recommended how to get back on board OPP.

I am looking forward to having him back with us. :thumbup:

Bad Bobby was always a good guy. Never once did I ever see him get out of hand. I know for a fact I could have been suspended for a few of my own t***sgressions and I have only received one warning and that was more than a year ago. I know I must have done something worthy of suspension since then. I don't know the workings of admin but Bad Bobby should be allowed to come back.

I am with you, Tom. It seems to me, according to the above PM, that BB sent something to OPP that inadvertently showed up as spam, and he was punished. But, honestly, I just don't know what went wrong. I can't imagine anything in BB's writings or actions that could be misconstrued as harmful. He is much beloved as a positive contributor to the forum.

He is also the senior Squid on OPP. :thumbup:

Bad Bobby should be free to post his jokes and joke along with others as he always did. I often saw him as a good example.

It doesn't sound like he did anything and that the glitch of it going to spam is the culprit..I know I was inadvertently locked out of my emails notice once, because I supposedly hit an email as spam ?? I do not remember doing it at, anyway, after 30 days my notices returned....I could however still come in..I was not locked out of here....

Maybe he could temporarily set up a new acct as badbobby1 or something and when his 30 days is done under the other name come back to it?? I don't know...He needs to check his computer for OPP that's for sure and see why it goes to spam??

I sureeeeeeee misssssss him and am so relieved it something like this and notttt sickness...

Hopefully he will be back with us soon. I was concerned about his health, as many were. I am computer illiterate so I can't be of much help. Perhaps you could PM Tasine or AuntiE as they seem so be more fluent in computerese and can get past the spam problem. I thought there was a way to turn off spam, but couldn't tell you how it is done, if it can be done at all.

I had the same thing happen to me. After being reinstated, I checked my spam (junk) mail each day to see what has inadvertently been sent there.
