Guess which campaign offices in Iowa are busiest?

The nerds at fivethirtyeight.com checked out the campaign offices in Iowa to see which was busiest. Here's what they found:

1) Ted Cruz's was the busiest, with the most people there making phone calls and rallying supporters.

2) The next busiest were Jeb Bush's and Rand Paul's. Given their low standings in Iowa, they really don't need to try quite so hard.

3) There were only a small handful of staffers at Ben Carson and Marco Rubio's offices.

4) There were no volunteers at Chris Christie's office or Mike Huckabee's

5) Rick Santorum's office was empty and the lights were turned off.

6) And no one was allowed into the campaign office of Donald Trump, meaning probably that was empty too. I guess the Trumpbots don't know how to use phones.

Field operations typically don't help more than a percentage or two, but in a small caucus state, where people have to be really committed to show up on caucus night and trained on what to do, it can be critical. Ted Cruz is trying hard and he is tied for first in Iowa. The others are meaningless except for Donald Trump, who doesn't seem to understand the importance of a good ground operation.
