I'm just not going there. You live your reality and I mine. Who am I to judge?
For me: those that were involved in that evil are not here anymore. Consumed by h**e and bigotry, they tried to wipe the Irish off the face of this earth; they gave it everything they had and still they failed. So, every Murphy, Kelly, Kennedy, Reagan, Moore, Sullivan, Fitzgerald, Keegan, Owens, OReilly, OBannon, ORourke, and etc. Every Irish tenor, dancer, harpist, novelist, President, poet, architect, housewife, farmer weaver, baker and etc. is a living monument and testimony to our ancestor's fortitude, faith, spirit, and triumph over evil. We owe our martyrs no less.
Can't speak for all Irish, but for me if I turn to h**e and bigotry, I become just like them, and I'm so much better than that. With God's grace, I've forgiven and moved on. I'll let Jesus judge; He'll do the right thing.
In closing, when I see one of my people or your people succeed it brings tears to my eyes to know that God's grace is alive and well in their hearts; I feel their pain and rejoice in their triumph over it. Today, I pray Jesus waters your heart with His tears to make a fertile place for Him to dwell within.
