P**********l Pardons

Article 2 Section 2 of Our USA Constitution states: "... he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the
United States, except in Cases of Impeachment..."

This is in violation of Separation of Powers and the understanding that the Judicial Branch is in Exclusive Charge of Judicial Decisions SUCH AS REPRIEVES AND PARDONS...

An Amendment Should Be Passed and Ratified ELIMINATING THESE POWERS and FIRMLY ESTABLISHING THE JUDICIAL BRANCH AS THE SOLE BRANCH DETERMINING JUDICIAL DECISIONS...

The power to pardon was designed as a check on those powers and should not be undone.

I think I know what you're worried about....

There is no solution to a government filled with corrupt people. Changing the Constitution won't help. Changing the people elected is the only cure.

Why would Obama bother? He never cared about Bergdahl. If it furthers Obama's agenda to pardon everyone in jail he will. If it doesn't, he won't.

Speaking of p**********l pardons, didn't John Mccain receive a pardon when he finally agreed to return from north Vietnam? I heard that he collaborated with the enemy while a prisoner and would have been court martialed when he returned to the USA if he hadn't received a p**********l pardon. I wonder if there is any way to prove or disprove
whether or not he got such a pardon.

I'm pretty sure a pardon is a matter of public record. It seems that would be necessary. Otherwise, how could prosecutors know that a person couldn't be prosecuted?

That said, I think you're living in Tinhatville if you think McCain committed treason. McCain was my last GOP pick as POTUS, but his patriotism is beyond dispute. As was his faithful service to this country.

I suggest you flush the crap-pile you got that information from in the toilet.

Appreciate your comments about McCain. For now, I think you, Hanoi Jane(Fonda), and "songbird"(as he was known by his Vietnamese captors" McCain would make a threesome of similar mind. I don't suppose you can cite any reports by his fellow captives as to his "patriotism" and "faithful service". If you can, I would like to know where to get such info. Maybe I would change my opinion of him...

Oh by the way super "McCain lover" Dave, a pardon for McCain would be a military issue not a public issue subject to "prosecutors".

As I understand it, a pardon has to be public knowledge so that all prosecutors know the person is pardoned of the applicable possible offenses. Otherwise, it would be impossible to know who was pardoned of what. Secret pardons are, I believe, un-doable.

My understanding of McCain's military career is what is in the public domain. I'm sure you can google it. I've heard of all kinds of bizarre/conspiracy claims, but have never heard a credible soure on them. If you have a source, i'd be happy to look at it.

(keeping in mind that any American of stature most likely has dozens of bizarre theories and web-blogs attesting to their bizarreness)

"BHB," "would bother," Super Dave, because a lingering, "unpardoned, defector to the enemy," Bergdahl, [who was secretly traded for 5 Taliban commanders], may be as damning for [him] as if the "stand-down" order in B******i was traced to "the loop" at the WH; and besides, all of the prisons have already been picked-clean for the "private army" projection.

And the New {Muslim/c*******t} Black Panther Party, converted by the hundreds of Imams preaching to ALL the black prison populations, jumped right on the OWS, B*M, MB, AMS, CPUSA, SPUSA, ACORN, CAIR, L***Q, PPH, Code Pink parade that I'm sure you have noticed burning and l**ting cities around America; and k*****g [PIGS/WU/SDS/'60's] police officers, of course.

Article 2 Section 2 - as it stands - does NOT have a "Check" on P**********l Reprieves and Pardons... The President can Reprieve PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T BEEN EITHER TRIED OR CONVICTED - as Pres Ford did with Former Pres Nixon and Pres Carter did with Vietnam Draft Dodgers - WITHOUT ANY "CHECK"... My Proposed Amendment Would At Least PROVIDE A JUDICIAL CHECK TO AN EXECUTIVE DECISION THAT IS JUDICIAL IN NATURE...

I went online and found - on wikipedia - a list of ALL P**********l Pardons from George Washington to Present and John McCain was NOT granted a pardon by ANY President...
