I am 71 years old. I had freedoms that the children today will never even know about. In my lifetime I know of no person who has starved to death. I have known people who went hungry a few times. People who had to work just to have enough to eat. People who had patches on their school clothes. People who had to travel long distances to find work for their family back home. My family had to follow the work (construction, we moved at least twice a year.). All of the people above had p***e. Today poverty is defined as not having a Flat panel TV., or having to use an Obama Phone. P***e today is defined by how much you can squeze out of welfare.

Welcome Pat! You got me to thinking, I remember second hand clothes, second hand almost everything but I never heard of a child staving to death in this country either. P***e is lost, people never had food stamps where we lived, it was called looking out for you neighbor.

You're right Pat. That was also a day when most people took responsibility for their own screw-ups as well. We were allowed to be kids, make our mistakes and live with the consequences. Our social life was more church than anything else and if we played ball it was with the group of neighborhood kids on a public grounds. It was WONDERFUL. Kids these days will never know the freedoms we had. Parents spend more time pointing fingers at whom they believe is responsible rather than getting the t***h out of their own kids and making them take responsibility for their actions. I really miss the old days. We were taught our priorities of GOD, COUNTRY AND FAMILY in that order. Now there is no patriotism, no Faith and no commitment to family. God Bless American and our families in this time of lessor freedoms.

If we can get him impeached and prove that he is in fact not a born US Citizen, all of his policies would be reversed. We have the proof. Why are they not doing anything about it?

Can't be done at this time, Reid controls the Senate and just like last time with Clinton it takes both the Senate and House. 2014 is very important.

Welcome aboard Cowboy Pat and have fun. I am 70 right now will be 71 in Jan. I to can remember hand me downs and patches on clothes. The thing I also remember is that my mother knew how to cook and we did have food to eat. We hardly ever went out for food and when we did it was a big treat. I guess the welfare mothers don't know how to cook or don't want to as they always eat at McDonalds or KFC etc. They have come to expect breakfast and lunch being served at school. You are right they have no p***e the democrat party has destroyed it for them.

In my last rant I talked about responsibility. I have lost other freedoms. When I went to high school in Oakdale Calif. If I had a gun in the gun rack on my truck. The principle or dean of boys might come by and ask what brand, caliber, or how it shoots etc. Now you have a good chance of ruining your families life by ending up in court. I have lost my aninimity. If you know my name you can google me and learn all of my information. There is nothing that I can do that is not against some law or regulation. Spit on the sidewalk, scratch your butt in public, relieve yourself in a parking lot. All small things but if an officer of the law didn't get laid last night he can site you for them. Found guilty or not. It still cost you monetarily or reputation. Cowboy Pat!

All we have is memories of when this was a free country and our kids don't even get to enjoy it. We used to shoot off firec*****rs on the fourth of July and had a blast now it is illegal. Why because some busybody, tree hugging, liberal wants to poke their nose into every bodies business. I just wish those busy bodies would just worry about their life and their families and leave the rest of us alone. I am sick and tired of political correctness, progressives who want to control my life and every facet of it. If they are so concerned with every ones life but their own then go to north Korea and help them out over there.
