Trump was supposed to be the most easily defeated Republican, and he get's 20% Democrats?

This is going to take more spinning than Bill's serial sexual harassment.

Trump Could Win It All
A new survey shows a sizable number of Democrats ready to defect from Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump.

Trump's the one?

So if Donald Trump proved the political universe wrong and won the Republican p**********l nomination, he would be creamed by Hillary Clinton, correct?

A new survey of likely v**ers might at least raise momentary dyspepsia for Democrats since it suggests why it wouldn't be a cakewalk.

The survey by Washington-based Mercury Analytics is a combination online questionnaire and "dial-test" of Trump's first big campaign ad among 916 self-proclaimed "likely v**ers" (this video shows the ad and the dial test results). It took place primarily Wednesday and Thursday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.

Nearly 20 percent of likely Democratic v**ers say they'd cross sides and v**e for Trump, while a small number, or 14 percent, of Republicans claim they'd v**e for Clinton. When those groups were further broken down, a far higher percentage of the crossover Democrats contend they are "100 percent sure" of switching than the Republicans.

When the firmed showed respondents the Trump ad, and assessed their responses to each moment of it, it found "the primary messages of Trump's ad resonated more than Democratic elites would hope."

About 25 percent of Democrats "agree completely" that it raises some good point, with an additional 19 percent agreeing at least "somewhat."

Mercury CEO Ron Howard, a Democrat whose firm works for candidates in both parties and corporate clients, concedes, "We expected Trump's first campaign spot to strongly appeal to Republican Trump supporters, with little impact – or in fact negative impact – on Democratic or independent v**ers."

He continues, "The challenge to Hillary, if Trump is the nominee and pivots to the center in the general e******n as a problem-solving, independent-minded, successful 'get it done' businessman is that Democrats will no longer be able to count on his personality and outrageous sound bites to disqualify him in the v**ers' minds."

Trump's formidable challenges remain obvious and in no small measure reflect his general style.

A total of 66 percent of Democrats are very concerned with it, as are 32 percent of Republicans and 41 percent of independents, according to the survey.

Further, 65 percent of Democrats said that the "prestige" of the country would be hurt by his e******n, as did 19 percent and 29 percent of Republicans and independents, respectively.

But what if Trump lowered the bombast in a general e******n?

The death knell of Moderate Democrats has foretold the end of all free thinking Democrats. The Party has now swung far Left to appease the radical liberals. These once Moderate Democrats must swallow their p***e and join the party in lock step or be locked out.

I was a Democrat for 37 years until I became an Independent in June of 2008. When Obama was elected in Nov 2008 I caught heat for stating that the enemy now occupied the White House.

I saw this happening and I hope it's not to late for other Moderate Democrats to wake up to the damage that the Radical Left is doing to this once Great Country...

Another Civil War pitting Right against Left? One extreme fighting the other ... with us in the middle needing to choose a side.

My choice has been made. Sit on the sidelines, not v**e, not be active, submit to their rule or suffer the consequences...

It's is our choice for now. Will our children still have this choice?

Lincoln said it in 1858, two years before the Civil War;

"In my opinion, it will not cease, until a crisis shall have been reached, and passed.

"A house divided against itself cannot stand."

I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half s***e and half free. (half Liberal and half Conservative)

I do not expect the Union to be dissolved -- I do not expect the house to fall -- but I do expect it will cease to be divided.

Life was so easy to understand in Bloom County...

It will become all one thing or all the other."

When Hillary stated that her enemy was the Republican Party. there is no middle ground with her and her Party. The Blue Dog Democrats have become Lap Dogs to the current Administration.

As a Democrat, my party left me as they headed "Left.". A v**e for a Democrat is a v**e for the Radical Change they want for this country. That is why there is almost no Bipartisan v****g in Congress. Sides have been drawn.
