Loving Yourself & Your Journey... 1/1/2016

LOVING YOURSELF & YOUR JOURNEY : Today's Gift - 1/1/2016

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. ----- Rainer Maria Rilke

We carry problems and discrepancies within us, quandaries that are not easily answered; and we have bigger questions about life and the world. Why did I act as I did in my younger years? Can my life partnership ever be happy again? How should I handle a secret that I now carry? What is this thing we call Higher Power and God? Why don't I love me better ?? Who am I & where am I going ??

We are on a journey. And in some ways, this journey is a quest for answers. The questions give energy and direction to our seeking. We cannot expect to get quick or easy answers. And some questions will always remain just that: questions. But we can learn to be patient with ourselves, tolerant of our incompleteness, and always curious about how it will all turn out.

Today I will practice patience with myself and embrace my unsolved questions as crucial elements in my quest to be the best me I can be.

~Don this is a beautiful sentiment and so appropriate for beginning this new year and I thank you!

I fully agree on our life's journey of solving questions and reaching for quests, it is what inspires us and keeps us moving forward. I think it is not only to be the best we can be but to also try to strive to do the highest good.

It was so ironic yesterday I was just speaking about fear on an opp post, how back in the day people were not afraid to pick up a hitchhiker, nowadays forget about it. Later that day it was very cold with a north wind, the sun had just gone down, and suddenly as I turned a corner there on the side of the road was an older woman bundled up and hitchhiking, I immediately pulled over and passed where I was going and gave her a lift home. Maybe the divine was checking out if I was willing to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

I hope as we all move forward into this new beautiful year, I hope we put compassion ahead of our fears, as much as we can anyway.

I hope in this year you do love yourself better, we are only human we are perfect, we are imperfect. Is it hard to forgive, to forgive ourselves and others and stand tall with an open heart?

Strength comes in many forms don't you agree, it is not just in battle. To go forward in putting compassion before fear... is a true strength. To embrace others when it is easier to turn our backs, that is strength and faith... faith not only in a greater higher power but also in our fellow man. God bless
