What are you talking about? The Talmud is the unwritten law with commentaries from great Rabbis, and commentaries on the first commentaries. In the Talmud, every spiritual and moral question is discussed through the lens of the Rabbinical law. It is the first time that the sages of the majority and minority of each viewpoint have written their agreement and/or disagreement. The Bible may reveal a commandment, but the Talmud says how each commandment may be obeyed.
I don't know what your source says an Edomite is. To my limited knowledge, they were a people mentioned in the Bible as a neighboring nation of ancient Israel. I have no idea what wallah is.

I found out ba little bit about my ancestry from DNA company. According to them, I am 95% Ashken**i Jewish. The other 5% was typical of other original inhabitants of the south west of Asia. Heres the thing, I had no idea, but 65% of Ashken**i have the DNA of two different Italian women. Too me this suggests that many Jews left Rome and the surrounding Roman Empire sometime during the early days of Roman occupation of the former Jewish presence in what was fast becoming the Roman area, Palestine. They left for eastern and Central Europe, and Spain.
I never knew I have a bit of Italian in me. No sign of any Turkic ancestry such as the Khazares. Too bad, I thought that they were a cool warrior people, that some how came into contact with the Jews that left Italy, and migrated too central, and eastern Europe. Like my Avatar Popeye says, " I Yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam".
