Should Christians torture or be tortured
Should salvation mean a life with no struggles, trials, and tribulations? Does salvation remove the responsibility of having to work or having to educate ourselves or make good choices? Does the fact that we are saved mean we automatically make good choices? What are good choices and are we encouraged to make them? Should we expect a victorious life in Christ? No, that is not what Christ preached or taught. Jesus warns in John 16:33 that we shall have tribulation. Acts 14:22 lets us know that God does not save from tribulation but through tribulation. We all know that Jesus was crucified, but do you know that He told His disciples, (which includes anyone that wants to follow Christ today), to take up a cross and follow Him in Matthew 16:24 through 27, Mark 8:34 through 38, and Luke 9:23 through 26. Satan has deceived the whole world. People want to hear a message like the bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3 and 4. True disciples obey 2 Timothy 4:5.
