Repeated Chapters
In the bible two chapters contain ideas so important that they are repeated twice. The chapters are in 2 Kings 19th chapter and Isaiah 37th chapter and Psalms 14 and 53. We will briefly cover them both. In the first one Sennacherib has taken the outer cities of Judea and has surrounded Jerusalem intending to take that city, like he took Israel. He openly defies God and His relationship with His children. Never do this. This chapter is so important that it is repeated twice in scripture. Never openly defy God or challenge God in any way. I like to fight dirty. I let God fight my battles. He will have you be the cause of your own destruction. He will make you see what is not there, believe what is not true, not see what is there, and doubt what makes sense. I had two wives commit adultery while being my wife. Each time I knew but didn’t see what my kids had done to lose a father. They both decided they could do better without me and came to regret the decision, even though I was the best thing to come into their lives. Back to 2 Kings. After Hezekiah’s prayer 1 angel kills Sennacherib’s army of 185,000 soldiers. Sennacherib goes to sleep and when he wakes up his army is dead. Assyria ceases being a nation. We allow men to marry men and they show their gratitude by throwing feces and wiping their asses with pages of the bible. Let’s see what happens. In the Psalms the bible calls doubters fools. If you can look at this intelligent design and not see an intelligent designer you are stupid. I can make brownies. I would question the intentions and intelligence of anyone who said I didn’t make the brownies I was eating. Another idea in the Psalm is if anyone doesn’t believe in God is corrupt and shouldn’t be trusted. They will betray you at the first opportunity. Another idea is there is a thin line between evil and stupidity. It is really short-sighted and dumb to go out of your way to be cruel. Eventually no one will want to be around you. This will make it difficult to find work. If you are newly hired and cruel and abusive, you will be quickly fired.
