Rebellion of Korah
The rebellion of Korah is covered in the 16th chapter of Numbers and mentioned in the 11th verse of Jude. Korah was a Levite priest who wanted to make a name for himself. He and about 250 people want to form a separate group. Moses never asked to lead and wanted to please God, so he falls on his face and tells Korah they will meet God tomorrow and sort this out. The next day Eliab, (one of those who want to separate from Moses), refuses to come and blames Moses for the wandering in the desert even though it is their own fault. God and Korah never spoke, so why did Korah think he was somebody? When God finally appears He tells Moses to step aside and He will kill the whole congregation. Moses again talks God out of killing them all. In the end the ground opens and swallows Korah and his followers with their wives and children. You should come to church looking for what you can give instead of what you can get. God deserves the glory. You accomplish nothing when you listen to a song. What good is worship if you cheat on your spouse? GodÂ’s word is not being taught, only selective scriptures that are taught in a misleading manner. When you use the word of God to make a name for yourself God is not pleased. What good is being saved while drugs, abortion, and same sex marriage are being legalized? We actually think we are saved while we are killing ourselves. Satan has deceived the whole world. If we consider that, if you are speaking truth then the religious community will disagree.
