Handicapped Prking

:?: It is apparent that most people do not know the rules for parking in a Handicapped spot. First you must have the sticker hung on your mirror. Second- If your other is the handicapped person & you go without that person in the car you are NOT ALLOWED TO USE A HANDICAPPED spot.
Why the police do not do anything is "As told by a friend"
They are to busy when he called them to report an unauthorized vehicle parking in a handicapped parking spot
at a Publix super market.

Look up the fine in your area for unauthorized use of a handicap space. Second, the business is responsible for those spaces, not the State - and they were mandated as a convenience for the handicapped under Federal law - and you know how States feel about the Feds telling them what to do.

It's basically an honor system everywhere, so you see how "honor" has been cheapened in this country. It's part of the overall moral decline of the USA. Look and see how many people hold doors for the elderly and crippled where you live and you'll see what I mean.

Being disabled myself, this is something that REALLY pisses me off. There are times when walking is painful, and saving those steps makes a difference.
Most times, the violator is some rude, overweight, beach-ball-with-legs s**thead who should walk every chance they get. You can spot them in the store, because they are the ones in the 10 item or less express lane with about 50 items in their cart.

I have a handicapped hang tag but when my arthritis and scoliosis are not hurting too much, I don't use it but I do get annoyed when some young able person with no tag pulls into the only available handicapped spot and I have to walk some distance. By the time I get in the store I hurt so bad that I cannot do all my shopping, so I know what you mean.

A handicapped licence plate is as good as a hang tag.

Goes without saying, that reminds me, once I was all pissed about someone without either taking a handicapped spot when there were none left. Turns out this guy was on crutches with a broken ankle and just hadn't gotten his tag yet. But, that is one time out of HOW MANY?

Have you seen this video? A surreal altercation over handicapped parking at this Walmart lot in suburban Milwaukee landed an elderly woman in the hospital and it was caught on camera. I can't find url to post, but search for "woman attacked handicap parking" and a couple of videos are found. They don't seem to be youtube, so I don't know how to cite them. But, definitely worth watching. It is from a security camera in the Walmart parking lot in Milwaukee.

As I live in Fl; home of a lot of old folks and a lot of handicapped ones; it would seem to me that half the parking in most of the stores should be handicapped. Things are now changing slowly because of the # of old people, but I doubt if it will change much in my lifetime.

Handicapped plates and h*****g cards are handed out like candy. About 98% of everyone I see getting out of their cars look perfectly fine to me. Most users are just lazy scum.

People with heart problems don't look any different, nor do those who may have arthritis that is usually at a level that pain k**lers keep down to tolerable level, but there are times when no pain k**lers are sufficient. There are also people with cancer who tire easily, and people with breathing problems that limit what they can do. Do not judge what you do not understand.
