Some are hoping that a sign to taxpayers posted on the outskirts of Monroeville, Alabama, will spread across the country. With the use of the internet, some may get their wish. The sign is going v***l after being touted by Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform.
The sign is reminiscent of one of the display most seen at Tea Party rallies, one that insists Taxed Enough Already!
It is also an echo of another sign that made the rounds last year that read, I used to be called a taxpayer, now Im called a right-wing extremist.
But when it comes to taxes and the welfare payments that too many today feel they should be used for, perhaps founding father Benjamin Franklin put it best.
I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it, Franklin wrote in 1766. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

Boy ! am I first at bat ?...Alabama, a great place to live. I used to live just south of Dothan. In regards to the billboard you might include Mississippi, Louisiana,Arkansas, S. Carolina,Oklahoma,Texas,Wyoming, and lets not forget the rough and tough folks up there in Montana, Did I miss anyone ? Persons from Californica, along with the entire 'left' coast. moving east, New York ,etc etc. need not respond.
For many the less was done for them, the more they died.
