As the "head hen", as Slatten calls me, I am issuing a directive.

All site members who are from Texas are to check in and let us know you are well and unharmed from the terrible weather in your state.

If you have been in contact with other Texas site members and know of their circumstances, please inform us.

41 degrees and a bit of a drizzle, but all is well in my neck of the woods.

The severe weather was northeast of The Heart Of The Lone Star State.

Garland Texas and Collin County took a direct hit.

Will travel to Houston tomorrow to wrap up a job, but I'm expecting no serious weather issues.

I cannot take credit. TexasCan mentioned checking on known Texas site members status. This was the only way I could figure out how to do so.

We have not heard from Slatten nor ArchieB.

We are well here. Not a lot of snow so far but more to come later. It is 23 degrees with 50 mph winds here. Brutal outside it is! I've checked in with my family members in Dallas, and they are OK.
Thank you for thinking about us!

Glad you guys are all right. Just checked in with friends in Little Rock and the high winds and heavy rain are hitting them now, power out in lots of areas, and severe flooding expected. It is going to be a bad winter for much of the country, we must keep all in our prayers. Here in WV it is sunny and warm but the winds are high and lots of trees will probably come down in the next two days, and the power with them.

I just picked up on this thread moments ago, AuntiE.

Calm down, all is well with the Sgt. Major. I have defended her with my life from the erratic rain and cold winds. Nothing of any great significance to report here off Lake Whitney...about 100 miles slightly SW of the DFW metroplex, although we have been forewarned of possible snow later today. Unruffle your feathers, and keep the cackling down...all is well.

We really do appreciate your concerns.

P.S. Archie mentioned on another thread of snow in Amarillo, as well as in Lubbock, according to Alicia and others. :|
