How to tell a true prophet
A true prophet will tell you the will of God. He will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. What you need to hear may not be what you want to hear. We can tell we must be listening to false prophets when you look at what is happening. Preachers are rich getting richer while this nation becomes less moral and more corrupt. We are scrutinizing normal relations between a male and female and legalizing gay marriage. For the money, preachers tell their congregations what they want to hear and want you to be entertained. They want you to enjoy coming to church. This goes against Ecclesiastes 7:2-6. A true man of God will tells you Gods will if it cost him his life. A true man of God will tell you what he knows is true. A true man of God will not sleep with the wives of the men who bring their families to church. When the word of God is taught by a man of God, you may not like it, but if followed will improve the quality of your life, and society in general. We shouldnt go to church to be entertained. We should learn and practice the word and will of God. Satan does not matter. He can have you killed. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of God will never pass away. Satan has deceived the whole world. When the truth is told, someone should disagree.
Numbers 12:6. "...If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream". A true prophet is God's spokesperson and has to be 100% correct in what he says about the future. If he tries to lead the children of Israel astray into idolatry, we are told not to listen to him even though he may have given a sign or had a dream. A false prophet is also supposed to be put to death. Deuteronomy 13:1-5. Jesus qualifies as a false prophet. He said the end would come in his disciples lifetime and he died the "deaths of the uncircumcised". Ezekiel 28:10.

Where did He say the end would come during the disciples lifetime? Look at history and read Daniel. Everything the bible says will happen has happened.

It's said a number of times in the NT, Fred. One is Matthew 16:28. "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom". This was a reference to Daniel 7:13. In other places in the NT, the admonition is directed to the present generation. Christians explain this by twisting the words of Jesus and they say the "generation" refers to those who would see the signs?? Jesus also said there would be no signs of his divinity given except the sign of Jonah, but even that wasn't fulfilled. Jesus allegedly arose about 36 hours after his death. Friday evening to Sunday morning. It wasn't 3 days and 3 nights.

That was predicting the transfiguration. You must not have researched the crucifixion. I won't share my research with you. If you don't do your own you can continue to expound with opinoins that have no foundation.

I think Elijah took part in this alleged "transfiguration". I also think that John the Baptist was supposed to be Elijah. John was beheaded. If he was transfigured, was he alive and in the flesh without a head? You can't have your cake and eat it too.

By the time of the transfiguration John the Baptist was dead. He was not Elijah but came in the spirit of Elijah.
Malachi 4:4-6. "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord..." Elijah is one of seven people that have been reincarnated. The others are Gabriel, Michael, David, Deborah (the Judge), Jesus, and Adam. Each has a purpose and a role to play in the end times. There are actually two Messiahs, (anointed ones). Zechariah 4:14. "Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth". The two Messiahs are God and Elijah. In the book of Revelation, there are two witnesses.

If there is an incarnation, of God, there can also be reincarnation. You do not know the scriptures that attest to the presence on earth of the Prophet Elijah, and King David in the end of days. All seven of these people have come from Heaven. Their mothers gave them a new soul (body), and their spirits entered into their bodies when they were born and took their first breath. Ruach, or spirit, is breath inside of the body and wind outside of the body. The death of bodies are permanent, but the spirit can live eternally.

Where did you get the idea that there is reincarnation? Do you think you have been reincarnated? How do you know what I know?

People won't believe someone unless they tell them what they want to hear. This is especially true of conservative Christians who look for affirmation of their own beliefs from their leaders and if they don't get it they disregard what is said.

If they have faith in a false reality they will suffer.

When you die, and if you go to Heaven, you have a choice whether or not to live on earth again. Angels may make this choice for a variety of reasons. There are three levels of Angels. They are arch-angels who are always in the presence of God, middle level angels who are in the presence of God on Shabbat and holidays, and lower Angels who are forgiven but will forever live in infamy of what they've done. They will be resurrected to "shame and everlasting contempt" and they are only in the presence of God on Yom Kippur. They may want to reincarnate to improve their heavenly status and if they know they will go to Heaven the next time, and not Hell. Also, sometimes an Angel can be sent back to earth by God.
