I'm a Christian, and I am proud to say that I am an Independent. . Perhaps, government workers' wages though need to fall in line with the general public who is paying their wages. Are you sure the Republican platform doesn't hide behind morals and faith just to get your v**e? I'm not. I live in an area that is highly Republican. I've worked with them for years.

From what I understand it's the democrats who go after the uneducated and low information v**ers... You know the ones that get extra entitlements from this now administration. You might be confussed on this.

First off welcome aboard and have fun. For future reference when replying to posts here please use the quote reply tag at the bottom of the post you are replying to so all will know as to who and what you are replying. Now about your post here I'm not sure what you are trying to get across as far as what would you suggest we replace faith and morals with. I know for a fact that the republican party is supposed to or did at one time stand for fiscal conservatism. It also stands for freedom and less government intrusion into our lives. P***e in our country and way of life. And yes morals that have been so destroyed by the left are a large part of that as well as faith in our God. We are to be self reliant and strong individualists lifting ourselves up by our bootstraps and helping others along the way. What do you think the republican party is and what do you think it should become?

You don't really think that v**ers who reelected the likes of Jesse Jackson and who went 100% for Obama are the more educated ones, are you?

The democrats feed off of the uneducated, quite obviously they truly believe the government's core responsibility is to take care of those who can't care for themselves. To remain in power they have fostered generations of victims who now must be cared for by people who are smarter than they are and now what is best for them. Yes I agree that is a bit simplistic but basically the t***h.

But that wasn't the question was it, the question is does the Republican Party feed off of religion. I don't think that is the correct question, the real one should be does religion feed off of the poor and there the answer is a definite yes and it doesn't matter what religion they all do it but especially Christians and Muslims.

There are many many exceptional faith based universities so to say just because your Christian and republican doesn't automatically make you illiterate. Brainwashed maybe, but uneducated no.

Yes I am Christian, educated and fiscally conservative I was taught to think for myself as are my children but that's another story.

I'm an agnostic conservative, libertarian leaning independent. I do not, however, see Republicans using religion anywhere close to what Democrats do - there is no equivalent Rev Jackson, Sharpton or the guy Obama never heard preach in 20 years. Any church that even approached the kind of political speach common with these guys would lose their tax exempt status.
