Keeping your vows

Keeping your vows
Is keeping your word important? Does what you say you are going to do make any difference? Should a person lie if they are uncomfortable with the truth and lying would seemingly make your life easier? What is integrity and does God expect His children to have any? Is integrity important and what if anything will happen to you if you don’t have any? God expects His children to have integrity. Integrity is developed and cannot be taught. Integrity is described in the 15th Psalm in the 4th verse as making a vow to your own hurt and not going back on your word. The one time we make a vow in front of God and man and later come to regret it is when we get married, but before deciding to break up a family let’s consider what God said. I won’t quote the scripture because I would like you to read the word of God and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. Read Numbers 30:1 & 2, Deuteronomy 23:21 through 23, and Ecclesiastes 5:4 through 6. God hates liars according to Proverbs 6:17 and Revelation 21:8 says all liars are going to hell. We should tell the truth, even when it hurts.

Whoever puts their trust in you will be disappointed.
