The republicans gambled and lost 3 years ago. Now the blame will be squarely on the weeper of the house, and he good reason to bawl his eyes out. In addition, he will get a primary challenge. But in the bigger scope of events, the teabag party, led by teddyboy cruz, has just caused the house to run out of options, the went from defund, to delay to now just asking for repeal of a medical device tax. Boner has already shown his cards, and his bluff will be called. He went all in at the wrong time. He will known as the BIGGEST LOSER, and he should beat teddyboys ass.

I'm somewhat in agreement with you for a change. Boehner has been a sorry leader and seems to be scaird of his own shadow. I've said he needs to go for about 4 years now. I was dissapointed when they kept him. At least teddy boy as you so disrespectfully call him has the courage and conviction to fight for what he believes. Wheather you agree with him or not, can't you at least bring yourself to respect his dedication to fullfilling his campaign promises? I think that many in Washington will pay a huge political price in the future for all of this. People are just plain tired of having a bunch of 8th grade girls in power and wondering about their future while the present isn't exactly great

I'm for Baehner! He has been beat down by Reid and Pelosi for 5 yrs now, and I'm very glad to see his stand. This won't be the first shut down govt has had. Baehner is a very smart man, very intelligent, and is just getting his fill of being pushed around, made a scapegoat for Obama, and totally ridiculed by Pelosi, Reid, and the media through them. Take it to Home Base Baehner!!

I agree that some will pay the price for this stupid example of political wrangling. The republicans just can't accept that the ACA is already law. Is it perfect? probably not, but then no law is ever perfect. The house republicans will be the loser, since they just cn't bring themselves to offer up a"clean" CR. Since they are slow on the uptake, they need to get whacked in 2014.

In all likliehood, both sides may get a good, firm spanking. They aren't thinking about you and me, they're (the people who hired them) they're thinking about themselves and thier world. As for me, it's a beautifal eveniing here, and I'm putting a steak on the grill, and gonna sit and listen to the horses eat while playing ball with my dog. It's very peaceful. I hope you have a good evening yourself.

I am listening to some of the fools babbling on C-Span, and it's too bad that so many districts are gerrymandered, so the outcome of all of this silliness will be the same for most on both sides. Their seats will be safe, except in those cases that offer a strong primary opponent.
I hope you enjoy your steak, and the simple joys of nature and enjoying the company of a playful dog.

I'm in for Baehner too! It makes me sick how he is treated and talked about...He is a good man that really cares about the people. I guess that's why they don't like him. Ted Cruz is great in my eyes, at least he speaks for the people
not the PARTY.

I respect your opinion, but Mr. Boehner has done nothing but tow the party line until recently in my opinion. I support what he's doing now, but I don't trust him.

Your correct, The hard core of Tea party conservative don`t seem to be risking anything personal. Most are from districts so strong right wings they will be kept in office regardless any downside to their action. The national Republican party may suffer and may affect all of us they will remain untouched..

Screw a CR!! How about putting up a real budget to which all will be forced to deal. The idea of a Continuing Resolution is just as bad as everything else. When are the American people going to be given a budget, not a CR, to show that our elected representatives are really doing their jobs?

I do not want to sound elitist, but as I do not speak or read what I assume to be a Spanish derived language, I would ask you to t***slate this. This is a predominantly English written language forum and the expectation is that you communicate in English. Thank you. Or would that be gracias?
