Jesus calms a stormy sea
There were many instances where Jesus stopped a rainstorm just by speaking to it. The accounts are in Matthew 8:23-27, Mark 3:20-27, and Luke 8:22-25. As a disciple of Christ you will find yourself on a storm tossed sea with the winds blowing and the seas billowing. But it is going to seem like Christ is somewhere asleep. Your emotions are going to overwhelm you and your faith is going to be called into question. You are going to question whether it is worth it. Jesus will calm the storm and your troubles will vanish like smoke, but the question you should ask yourself is this; where is your faith? If Jesus is your anchor then you know the boat will not sink. If your faith isnt tested how will anyone know if it is any good? A good scripture to remember is, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. If you read Acts 14:22, you see that God does save from but through tribulation.
