In vain they worship
In Matthew 15:8 and 9 and Mark 7:6 and 7, Jesus quotes from Isaiah 29:13 but He adds the words, in vain they worship. Worship without obedience is a waste of time and will accomplish nothing. In this lesson the Sanhedrin finds fault with Jesus disciples for not washing their hands before they ate. Jesus finds fault with the Sanhedrin for obeying thee traditions of men but disobeying. Gods commands. The traditions of men make the word of God have no effect. The current belief is that you can worship God but dont have to live by His word. This is incorrect. It doesnt matter if you sing and dance, adultery will destroy your marriage.
