How to put Christ first
Read Luke 14:26 and 27. Christ must come first, before your relatives or anyone else. That being said Christ tells us to love our enemies in Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6:35. Jesus also predicts, (as well as Micah in the Old Testament), that a man’s enemies will be those in his own house. Love is a verb. We should mature as Christians. Teenage lust and infatuation cannot be compared with the love of a mother for her children or a commitment that lasts fifty years. Let’s be doers of God’s and not people that listen to songs. If Jesus is our savior then we should do what He says. Jesus asks in Luke 6:46, ”Why do you call me lord and do not the things I say”? God came to this planet and wrote with His finger in stone the Ten Commandments. If you look at them they are not hard to live by. If God says not to commit adultery in Exodus 20:14 and Deuteronomy 5:18 then we shouldn’t be unfaithful to our spouses. There is more to life than feeling good. Love starts at home. If you love God then keep His commandments.

How to put Christ first br Read Luke 14:26 and 27.... (show quote)

How to put Christ first? "become as a little child," "die to self," "be poor of spirit." No effort or intent is needed: surrender!

Jesus never surrendered to the Sanhedrin.
