The Western wall still stands

When shown the temple with it’s grand design and intricate architecture, there are three scriptures in Matthew 24:2, Mark 13:2, and Luke 21:6 where Jesus says the temple will be torn down to the point that there shall not be one stone left on top of another. Most think that this was accomplished by Roman general Titus in 70 A.D. This belief leaves us with a problem. The Western wall still stands If you look at it you can see one stone on top of another. This puts us in a difficult position. Either Jesus was wrong or it has not happened yet. I don’t believe it has happened yet. We will see what happens.

Yes we will. If Jesus said it, it shall be done. Period. No exceptions.

The walls were never considered to be part of the Temple. The walls were built only to maintain the plaza around the temple. If you have not been to the "wall" the size is staggering. The stones weighing in over 10 tons each. And it is tall. It had to be, to hold back the weight of the soil and pavers used in the plaza of the Temple. Think of it this way. The Temple was a home. You most likely live in a house with a yard and you have a road or such leading up to your drive. At what point does your property or home start? Most logical response would be when you actually turn into your own drive. The easement does not belong to your property. So, the wall around the Temple did not belong to the Temple, but was a separation from the city and the Temple and its purpose was only to hold back the soil used to expand the plaza.

I think you might get a better understanding if you read Jeremiah 26:18 Micah 3:12. As you will see, if you read the references, G*d gave His prophet Jeremiah a vision of what He was going to do. 18 "Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, 'Thus the LORD of hosts has said, "Zion will be plowed as a field, And Jerusalem will become ruins, And the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest." and in 70 AD, all of the temple was pulled apart, to include the foundation of the temple. And upon departing from the now ruined city and where the temple once stood, now nothing more than a field, Titus ordered that it be plowed. This fulfilled the prophecy.

And for a very graphic details of the destruction, see the writing of the Judeo-Roman historian Josephus. He goes into great detail.
