God doesn’t like lazy people
This block of instruction is about the lazy as stated in Proverbs. Let’s look at some of the effects of being lazy.
· Poverty – Proverbs 10:4
· Shame – Proverbs 10:5
· They will not do what is necessary – Proverbs 12:27 and 19:24 and 26:15
· They desire good things but don’t know how to get them – Proverbs 13:4 and 20:4
· They always find an excuse to do nothing – Proverbs 22:13 and 26:13
· Nothing is done that should be done – Proverbs 24:30 – 34
· They actually think they are smarter than people who work – Proverbs 26:16
· You cannot use your feelings as a motivation to do anything – Proverbs 20:13
All of God’s creation teaches us what we need to know. Animal life does what it needs to do when it needs to do it. Read Proverbs 6:6 – 11. Really this addresses more than ants. If you think about it, we could learn a lot from, nature. Bees collect nectar from flowers and take it back to a hive to make honey. An added plus is pollen from each flower sticks to the bees legs and this aids in cross pollination which is necessary in making seeds to grow more plants. Beavers build dams and birds build nests while foxes dig holes. All of nature is about sustaining itself, reproducing, and caring for their young. Every action has a purpose and anything that takes without giving is a parasite. In nature there are no same sex relationships. Also no animal will kill its child before it is born.
