I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now and have been shocked by how quickly this group resorts to name calling. For a group of presumably adults there are a lot of members who get childish and start throwing around meaningless insults that do nothing to further the discussion. It seems this is a microcosm of our two party political system and the reason nothing of actual worth comes out of Washington.

Maybe you should modify that, to read which side excluding banjojack slings the most insults. I will say mine were in response to repeated slurs which I felt demanded an answer.

He was absolutely correct to be indignant; however, the Vocabulary Visigoth is held to a higher standard on language.

That's why my profanity is so much more profane. Speaking of higher standards, the Vocabulary Visigoth, who knows all, sees all, sleeps not and strikes from the shadows when you least expect, has been asked to wear yet another hat, that of culinary critic. In keeping with my decision to become more culturally inclusive, while maintaining the barbarian themed persona, I shall take my new title from the depths of the mysterious Orient. What shall it be, oh supplicants? (Remember, the theme is culinary, yet barbaric and Oriental). Shall it be the "Mongolian Macerator, or, to stay in character, would the "Genghis of Goulash" be more appropriate?

I like the first; however, considering the considerable hair on the avatar the second may be more appropriate. The second, further, blends cultures.

It seems that people on both sides have their minds made up. A few come up with facts but many accept their own opinion as fact.

It would be nice to be able to discuss the pros and cons in a civilized manner, but that takes deeper thought and more patience than most care to put into it.
