Examples of short-sighted thinking
Some examples of short-sighted thinking are same sex relationships, getting pregnant as a teenager, or abusing alcohol or drugs. We should consider the consequences of our actions before we act. While none of us are clairvoyant, we should realize the chances of being charged with driving while impaired are eliminated if we don’t drink. At the very least we should not for any reason drive a vehicle if we just drank a beer. As adults we can do anything we wish but we don’t get the option of choosing the consequences of our actions. I will try to point out why the above three are poor choices.
Same-sex relationships- This has destroyed nations older than ours and will destroy this nation. Before Rome fell homosexuality was practiced in the highest echelons of Roman government. It is totally unnatural. There are no gay sheep, lions, tigers, or bears. There are no homosexual felines, bovines, or canines. There are no lesbian cats, dogs, fish, frogs, or birds. The only species of life in which same-sex relationships are found is humans. No one has seen two male dogs stuck. There are some that say that God made them the way they are and that they are born gay. To them I will ask a question; why didn’t He make same-sex relationships in any other species? The mindset of an adult should be primarily concerned with things like providing for oneself. The primary focus of life should not be who am I going to have sex with. God says is Leviticus 18:22 that same-sex relationships are disgusting. We are ignoring His word while we claim that we are saved. How can we be saved while we have murdered about 60,000,000 infants before they had a chance to draw their first breath? The infants who become aborted don’t get a name or a funeral. Some are used to make cosmetics. Homosexuals are notorious for being unfaithful. The safest sex is with your spouse in a committed relationship. Sex with strangers sometimes produces diseases. The majority of those that are afflicted with aids are gay. When aids first came out, it was called grids. Aids stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, but Grids stands for Gay Related Immune Deficiency Syndrome. In the late 70’s and early 80’s gays started dying for reasons unknown. The disease that they had in common was called grids. One athlete caught grids through a blood transfusion and grids became aids. Still the majority of those infected with aids are homosexual. Same-sex relationships will never produce life, sometimes it kills you. To keep up their numbers they have to recruit. People that engage in deviant sex are less than 10% of the population. Daniel 11:23 says, “He shall become strong with a small people”.
Teen pregnancy- Sex is an activity that should only be practiced by adults. Teenagers should ask themselves a question; if I can’t take care of and feed myself, then how am I going to provide for and feed somebody else? Do I know the person I want to have sex with well enough to make a child with them? This answer is always no because we become different people in ten years. It takes a man, to raise a man, to be a man. A woman has never been a man, will never be a man, and really don’t understand what men go through. If a female gets pregnant, and has a boy, they may have a close relationship when he is small, but boys grow up to be men and how can she help a person become what she has never been? When children are small, they are gullible, innocent, and do things that if left unchecked have negative consequences. A bully in school may get fear from other students, respect, and lunch money but adult bullies are incarcerated or killed.
Drug and alcohol abuse- No one looks up to a drunk or junkie. They may be admired at first, but the admiration stops when the drug use is found out. They trade short term gain for long term pain and serve as poor examples as role models. While it may feel good to get drunk or high, the consequences of being a junkie or a drunk are always negative. You should consider the consequences of your actions before you act.

The biggest example of short-sighted thinking is judging others. Or being moralistic or a law-keeper.

Who have I judged? Keeping God's law has benefited me.
