Blaming and regret
Two ways to waste your time is to blame someone else for your actions or regret what has been done already. You cannot change the past. If you make anything anyone else’s fault you have given authority of your life to someone else, and your circumstances will never change. Until you take responsibility for your life you can’t change it. You can’t drive forward with all of your attention focused on the rearview mirror. Life must be lived in the present. If there is a glass of water on the table and it is knocked over, there is nothing that can be done to put the water back into the glass. It is what it is. You must take responsibility for the condition of your own life. You can’t soar with eagles keeping company with turkeys. The first Psalm blesses those who don’t company with negative people. Delight yourself in God and He will give you the desires of your heart. When Adam and Eve blamed someone else for the actions they committed God still held them accountable for their actions. We all will be judged for or works.

Blaming and regret br Two ways to waste your time ... (show quote)

I agree, to a point, yet it is not so clear cut. Regret can have a pulverizing effect on ego, leaving us open to Christ. Ah, but blame: very nasty business. Worse though is complaint. Find no complaint and you at-one with the spirit of God.
