This might sound strange but I found the eye-cleaning membranes' positions on the different birds interesting. Some came from the rear, some from an upper corner, etc. Have you noticed it?

If you are ever in Boise come visit the World Center for birds of prey. Falconers and birders from all over the world come here to research and study. There is a wing to the library that an Arab Shake donated the money for which is all about the evolution of falconry in the Arabia with an actual hunting camp set up in the middle of the room.

I didn't pay particular notice but the nicitating membranes in raptors may possibly vary in their attachments and direction of enclosure.

:thumbup: :thumbup: Thanks for that info Idaho. Pretty interesting. Last time I was in Boise was back in the late 70s and this facility was probably not around in those days. I will have to put it on my bucket list. :mrgreen:
