"It's not always citizenship. They just want to do their jobs, cash their paychecks, and be left alone. A view of the immigration debate from the kitchen of your favorite restaurant."
We are a nation of laws. Our laws state that all emigres must come through legal ports of immigration. What they want is irrelevant if they make their first act an illegal on by deliberately thwarting the system. By crossing the border at a non sanction location without following the proper procedures to establish themselves legally in the United States, i*****l i*******ts establish themselves as outlaws in this country. As a consequence, they forfeit the right to a job, cash a paycheck, or to be left alone. As such an outlaw, the act of illegally entering this country should preclude the possibility of ever establishing themselves as a citizen. They have already proven they are willing to break our laws.
