The triumphant entry

The triumphal entry is mentioned 1 time in the old testament in Zechariah 9:9 It is mentioned four times in the new testament in Matthew 21:1 - 11, Mark 11:1 - 11, Luke 19:29 - 40, and John 12:12 - 15. It didn’t take a week for the crowd to go from celebrating His entry into Jerusalem to freeing Barabbas and calling for Him to be crucified. Let’s read John 2:23 - 25.
Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many believed in His name, when they saw the miracles which He did. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man: because He knew what was in man.
John 14:15 quote Jesus as saying, “If you love me, keep my commandments”. Today we teach that a relationship with Christ is possible while we ignore every sermon He preached, parable He taught, and miracle He performed. Worship without obedience will accomplish nothing. It is a sin to talk like you understand when you are unsure. Yet we are taught to repent. Churches actually protest the execution of murderers. It doesn’t make sense to repent of a sin you didn’t know you committed.
