The Oath!
Sep 25, 2013 23:21:10   #

To defend against all enemies, both foreign and domestic! All of us have sworn that oath when enlisting. This oath is not abandoned after leaving service, at least not by me and I trust not by most others. Treason has a stench all to itself and the punishment when charged, tried and convicted it the ROPE! Some say we are potential terrorists!
We are a nation of Law abiding citizens for the most part, and True Justice will eventually prevail. Trust in God, Pray for our Republic! I am The Asp, a call sign that stuck over the years.

I think I have gotten too cynical, too tired, too old. I look around and listen and it seems like negativity, loss of common decency, in fighting, governmental decline, societal decline and lack of moral certainty are all that is left of this country. It feels and seems like we are on a runaway roller coaster heading straight to hell. I don't quite know how to describe it.

Miss Brandi, If your picture is current, it seems to me You have much wisdom for your age. Take heart, as I believe that in the end the t***h will prevail and those of us that keep the faith will also. God did not say life and what comes with it would be easy, only that it would be. It is easy these days to find oneself down hearted, stay positive and fight the negative aspects that come along, Stay Safe in God's Hands....Viper

One statement that I've read is Obama is hells gift to America. I guess that pretty well describes it and I know how you are feeling. I like vipers post and I will continue to believe all the way to the end wh**ever it may be. I pray for a turnaround but it will take a brave and fearless leader to do it.

Yes, it is a current picture and I'm older than I look. I was born 'old'. Wisdom is something that I have had to earn...the hard way. And I know in my heart of hearts, that in the end, God is in control and He will never put more on me than I can bear. It's just, sometimes, I step back and what I see does hurt my heart. Thanks, Viper

Miss Brandi to look at this world on the state that it is in can lead to one feeling discourage. I personally, like NEVER before DEPEND on my Christian faith & walk by THAT and not by what I see. I find ENCOURAGEMENT not in the "RELIGON of Christian faith alone but a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP w/ Jesus Christ w/ all my energy. In the MIST of this CHAOS of a world, I rest in the PEACE provided to me by Christ. I have to have TOUGH SKIN these days to be BOLD ENOUGH as I am to OPENLY CONFESS my faith ESPECIALLY as a Christian. Yet as u see here, I DO IT unashamed & proudly. For this reason, I will express that which I believe BUT I will not get into a war of words and name calling w/ anyone on this form who disagrees w/ me. In all situations, I strive to represent my personal Savior & my Lord, Christ in word and in deed. He expects and deserves that from ME no matter HOW unpopular it is looked upon in todays world. I consider it an HONOR and a PRIVILEGE to be called a CHRISTian. Saying "Yes Lord" to Christ's will for MY LIFE has been the number ONE BEST decision I've ever made and I will NOT ALLOW the pressure of this world, opinions of people, or any matter of government take the JOY of the Lord out of my life. Things are not PERFECT BUT I have an AMAZING amount of inner contentment that leaves me satisfied ONLY b/c of me being in Jesus. I apologize for going on and on but I render NO APOLOGY for the content of this post. Be Safe!

Thanks and I totally agree. And there is no reason to apologize for 'going on and on'...it was what I needed to hear, and I needed to hear it now.

Thank you, sometimes I need to be reminded that God does actually hear me. I seem to keep a constant conversation going with Him.

WE ALL, as the born again children of God, have "moments" like that. When all we need is a "friendly reminder" of WHO we are and WHOSE we are! For me, when I need reminders or a pick me upper, I LOVE re reading out loud so my ears can hear b/c of Romans 10:17. I have put to memory Romans 8:28-39. It REALLY GETS ME HYPED w/ HOPE, EXCITEMENT, and THANFULNESS! :-D You are ON POINT friend, THAT is what HE wants from U, from ALL His kids, constant communication. You talk to Him than give Him the PLEASURE of talking back to you.

I know what you are talking about. I ask every night for the Lord to bring a great revival upon America and to make us once again the believing nation that we started out as. I ask him to remove the impostor that is now occupying the white house. I then tend to go off after prayer time and proceed to list ways that I could such things occurring and how they would play out. So far the good Lord has not listened to my ways of disposing of our impostor in chief and I have to believe that he has our best interests at heart and rely on the fact that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts our not our thoughts and His plans are way above our plans so I have to be content and know the He is God.
