Silence from the GOP when President OBAMA raised the U.S. Military pay now, and cut Social Security "COLA" cost of living adjustments for more than 50 million retirees in 2016. In 2010, and 2011, the U.S. Government cut cost of living increases to Social Security beneficiaries who worked very hard their lifetime and paid for Social Security benefits, but the 535 members of U.S. Congress received a substantial 8 percent cost of living increases for their offices budget and their "MRA" members of U.S. Congress cost of living allowance approved by themselves every year regardless the C.P.I. applied by U.S. Government to retirees and labor to lower the Federal deficit on the back or the poor.

Thieves. They stole from SS and put it in the general fund and spent it. They need to put it back at today's value of the money. I contributed for 44 years and don't appreciate having my retirement stolen from me.

Smokie: Since WW-II our U.S. Government used the money surplus in Social Security retirement fund to lower the Federal deficit and provided I.O.You. notices but never paid back, now Social Security retirement fund is down because the unemployment and workers stagnant salaries, major U.S. production facilities moved to 3er. countries looking for cheap labor and no I.R.S. taxes and our U.S. Congress majority is doing nothing about that to help low income retirees, and American workers who struggle to survive with the high cost of living increases, and everything made in China, Mexico, Asia, India, Africa, even Vietnam after 58,000 Americans died there for nothing.

Ricko: COLA passed in the U.S. Congress in 1975, to help Social Security retirees with the high cost of living increases, but in 2010, 2011, and next year 2016, U.S. Government cut the cost of living increases for Senior retirees and the majority members of U.S. Congress agreed to lower the Federal deficit on the back of poor American.
