Awe, heck, E, I followed the directions just as written and never did get my turkey made...

Turns out I read have a "bottle" of wine with each instruction, instead of a glass of wine....

Nowww, if I can find where I left the dang turkey and make sure I have enough wine, I'll try it again~~~ ;)

I was once in charge of cooking the turkey when my departed wife had to work thanksgiving day at the Hospital. I was supposed to stuff the bird but the darn legs were wired together. There was a big skin flap where the neck was so I filled this convenient pouch with the dressing. I laced it up with dental floss and baked it. She came home and pulled it from the oven and started laughing hysterically. I did not understand till she unwired the legs and pulled the bags of giblets out of the cavity. I was amazed. Then she got on the phone to tell every body and the laughter continued for hours. I never did live that one down. I have also learned my lesson on doing laundry--- but that is another story.
